Art of Healing Program Debuts at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center

February 19, 2014 – More than 100 people recently attended Englewood Hospital and Medical Center’s (EHMC) debut exhibition and artist reception, which celebrated its new Art of Healing Program, launched in partnership with Demarest-based The Art School at Old Church.

The new program was implemented in an effort to enhance the patient experience, by creating a more humanistic, comforting environment. The first 19-piece exhibition is now on display throughout the main floor of the Medical Center to help promote healing and wellness and ease anxiety for patients, their families and visitors. Attendees were taken on a guided tour of the gallery and later enjoyed cocktails, dinner and an opportunity to meet and speak with featured artists.

EHMC and The Art School at Old Church are now seeking artists in Bergen County and surrounding counties who are interested in having their works displayed at The Medical Center for its second exhibition, set to debut on June 12th, 2014. The deadline to submit is March 12th, 2014. For more information and submittal requirements, visit www.englewoodhospital.com and download an entry form or contact TASOC Exhibitions Director Mary Gagler at exhibitions@tasoc.org or 201-767-7160. Best in Show will receive a $500.00 award and two notable mentions will each receive $100.00.
