Joint Replacement Center

The Joint Replacement Center of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center is committed to providing the highest-quality care in a compassionate environment – and getting you back to an active life, doing the things you enjoy with friends and family. We take an individualized and team approach with every patient, including using the most appropriate joint replacement technique, offering personalized education for the patient and caregivers, developing a rehabilitation plan of care to meet a patient’s lifestyle needs, and integrating pain management and complementary healing techniques to optimize a patient’s comfort and recovery.

Englewood Hospital and Medical Center participates in the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) model mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This Medicare model aims to promote quality and financial accountability for care surrounding lower-extremity joint replacement (LEJR) procedures, commonly referred to as hip and knee replacements and/or other major leg procedures. As a participating hospital, we are accountable for the costs and quality of related care for hip or knee replacements and other major leg procedures. Accountability begins at the time of admission through 90 days after the patient leaves the hospital and is known as an “episode of care.”

Depending on our quality and cost performance during the episode, our hospital will either earn a financial reward or be required to repay Medicare for a portion of the spending above an established target. As a result, patients can expect that we will actively work with physicians, home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities and other providers to ensure they receive the coordinated care they need, while reducing complications and repeat hospital visits.
