Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and members of the surrounding communities will come together on Friday, February 17, 2017 to celebrate American Heart Month and African-American heritage through music, the arts, and healing. The 9th Annual Heart & Soul Music Fest will feature heart health education as well as one-on-one conversations with Englewood Hospital and Medical Center physicians, nurses, and staff, and features live Gospel, Soul, and Hip-Hop music.
Featured guest and performers include: WLIB and WBLS radio personality Liz Black, “The People Plezzer” DJ Mitch, R&B Group Status IV, Gospel Singer/Songwriter Dave James, tenor saxophonist Ray Blue, and cardiologist Dr. Duane Bryan. The event will also honor a 92-year-old veteran and cardiac patient, who is a recipient of the WWII French Legion Medal of Honour.
