
Robert J. Ferrante, MD, Cardiothoracic Surgery
November 19, 2019 — Cardiothoracic surgeon Robert J. Ferrante, MD, has joined the Englewood Health Physician Network and Englewood Hospital. Dr. Ferrante’s clinical interests include complex aortic valve surgery, atrial fibrillation surgery, ascending aortic surgery, coronary artery bypass graft surgery including all-arterial revascularization, and complex mitral valve repair. He has expertise in minimally invasive valvular heart surgery and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Dr. Ferrante joins Englewood Hospital’s Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and welcomes new patients to his Englewood practice.

Dr. Ferrante is board certified in thoracic surgery. He received his MD from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey–New Jersey Medical School, where he also did a general surgery residency and a research fellowship. He then did a cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, in Birmingham. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
Dr. Ferrante joins Englewood Health from ThedaCare, Appleton Heart Institute, in Appleton, Wisconsin, where he was medical director of cardiac surgery.
