
May 8, 2019 — Colon and rectal surgeon Peter M. Kaye, MD, has joined the Englewood Health Physician Network and Englewood Hospital. Dr. Kaye’s clinical interests include minimally invasive colon and rectal cancer surgery, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, fecal incontinence, and anorectal problems such as hemorrhoids, fissures and fistulae.

Not only do I collaborate with other highly trained specialists to provide cutting-edge care, I partner with my patients to provide them with compassion and the knowledge they need to make critical decisions about their health care,” says Dr. Kaye. “I am pleased to bring my expertise in the surgical treatment of complex colon and rectal conditions to the Englewood Health Physician Network, where I will work closely with highly trained specialists across the network, and utilize the leading technology, such as the da Vinci robot, that Englewood Health offers to the region.”
Adds Dr. Kaye, “As a member of The Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center at Englewood Health, I join a team of specialists treating colon and rectal cancer, and I will continue to serve the needs of patients from Rockland County and northern New Jersey.”

Dr. Kaye is board certified in colon and rectal surgery and in general surgery. He received his MD from the Rosalind Frank University of Medicine and Science–Chicago Medical School. He did his general surgery residency at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital Center, in Manhattan, where he received the Chief Resident of the Year Award, followed by a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Kaye joins Englewood Health from his practice in Rockland County, New York, where he was director of colon and rectal surgery and responsible for the development of the robotic surgery program at Good Samaritan Hospital, in Suffern. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and of the New York Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
