Dr. Sharon Scherl Named Dermatology Chief at Englewood Health

November 12, 2020 — Sharon Scherl, MD, has been named chief of dermatology at Englewood Health. Dr. Scherl specializes in the medical treatment of adult and pediatric skin disorders, skin cancers, skin surgery, laser surgery, and a variety of cosmetic procedures. In this new position, Dr. Scherl will continue to expand dermatology services.

“Dr. Scherl is an outstanding physician and leader, whose experience and expertise will be critical to our dermatology department now and in the future,” says David Abramson, MD, president of the medical staff at Englewood Health. “Under her leadership, we will continue to focus on serving our community through enhanced access and continuous improvement of quality patient care.”

Dr. Scherl is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She grew up in Bergen County and upon completion of her medical training, came back to practice dermatology. She has been on the medical staff at Englewood Health since 1992.

“It is an honor to be entrusted with leading this service, and I’m proud to care for patients in the same community my family and I grew up in,” says Dr. Scherl.

Dr. Scherl received her medical degree from New York Medical College, where she also completed her dermatology residency. She is the recipient of multiple New York Magazine Top Doctors and New Jersey Monthly Magazine Top Doctor Awards.
