October 11, 2019 — Endocrinologist Fadwa K. Sumrein, DO, has joined the Englewood Health Physician Network and Englewood Hospital. Dr. Sumrein’s clinical interests include diabetes, metabolic disorders, obesity and weight management, osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, pituitary disorders, thyroid cancer and other thyroid diseases. She joins Englewood Health Physician Network – HVA Medical Group (formerly known as Heart and Vascular Associates of Northern Jersey) and welcomes new patients to her practice in Clifton, as well as in Fair Lawn and Pompton Lakes.
“I am invested in providing highly personalized care for my patients,” says Dr. Sumrein. “With a focus on prevention, and the setting of mutually agreed upon health goals, I work with my patients to help them achieve their best possible health outcomes.”

I look forward to enhancing care through collaboration with primary care practitioners across the Englewood Health Physician Network and utilizing the shared electronic medical record to improve care for our patients.”
Dr. Sumrein is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in endocrinology. After receiving her DO from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, she did an internal medicine residency at Atlantic Health System – Morristown Medical Center and an endocrinology fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She is a recipient of the American College of Physicians Young Achiever Award and served as a volunteer physician with the Syrian American Medical Society on a Syrian refugee medical mission in Greece and Jordan.
She is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Endocrine Society. In addition to English, she is fluent in Arabic.
