November 8, 2019 — Gynecologist Galit G. Steinberg, MD, has joined the Englewood Health Physician Network and Englewood Hospital. Her primary clinical focus is general gynecology, ranging from adolescence through postmenopause, and including all aspects of women’s health. She is especially interested in functional health and wellness, preventive women’s health, pre-pregnancy health optimization, postmenopausal hormone stabilization, and chronic gynecological conditions. She joins Englewood Health Physician Network – Gynecology and welcomes new patients to her practice in Englewood.

“It gives me great pleasure to be able to provide gynecologic care to women in Bergen County, where I live and am raising my children,” says Dr. Steinberg. “Understanding that each woman is unique, with individual views on life, health, and achieving goals, I treat my patients with compassion and open dialogue, to foster their best health and enhance their lives. I take pride in treating each patient as a whole person and in addressing issues such as lifestyle (exercise, diet, sleep), as I believe that imbalances in these areas can affect one’s overall health.”

Adds Dr. Steinberg, “Joining the Englewood Health Physician Network affords me the opportunity to serve my community by caring for women of all ages. Using the shared electronic medical record, I collaborate with primary care providers and specialists across the Englewood Health Physician Network and incorporate integrative treatments through Englewood Health’s Graf Center for Integrative Medicine, to improve patient care.”

“I am very excited to welcome Dr. Steinberg to our growing team of renowned specialists and providers,” said Dr. Tracy Scheller, gynecologist at Englewood Health. “As a talented and resourceful gynecologist, Dr. Steinberg will help meet an important need in our community and expand the expertise that our organization offers.”

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Steinberg received her MD from Ross University School of Medicine and did an obstetrics and gynecology residency at North Shore University Hospital, where she was chief resident. As an attending ob/gyn and assistant clinical professor at NY–Presbyterian Hospital, in Manhattan, she provided comprehensive obstetrical and gynecologic care and taught residents and medical students at Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Steinberg is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine. In addition to English, she is fluent in Hebrew, and she has a working knowledge of Polish and Spanish.
