About

About Richard K. Chessler

Dr. Chessler is board certified in gastroenterology and in internal medicine. His clinical interests include disorders of the gallbladder and colon, pancreatic cancer, and invasive biliary endoscopy. He received his MD from the Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University, and did his internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology fellowship at New York Medical College–Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital (now Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center). He has been elected to the Board of Governors of the American College of Gastroenterology for the State of New Jersey and was on the editorial board of the Journal of Practical Gastroenterology. Dr. Chessler is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He practices at the Gastroenterology Group of Northern New Jersey and is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
