Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern in which you cycle between periods of eating and fasting, allowing your body to use stored energy and burn off excess body fat. Followed correctly, this practice can have significant health benefits. Research suggests it may be more beneficial than other diets in reducing inflammation and improving conditions associated with inflammation, such as Alzheimer’s, arthritis, asthma, type 2 diabetes, cancer, weight loss, and several cardiac conditions.
