Englewood Hospital Earns Top Teaching Hospital Award from The Leapfrog Group for Eighth Time

Hospital Recognized as National Leader in Quality and Patient Safety

December 15, 2025 — Englewood Hospital has once again been named a Top Teaching Hospital by The Leapfrog Group, a national watchdog organization dedicated to improving healthcare quality and safety. This year marks the eighth time Englewood Hospital has received this elite recognition—placing it among a select group of hospitals nationwide consistently delivering exceptional outcomes.

Out of more than 2,400 hospitals assessed by the Leapfrog Group, only 156 received a Top Hospital award, and Englewood Hospital is one of just 73 to achieve the Top Teaching Hospital distinction.

The Leapfrog Top Hospital Award is considered one of the most competitive and respected honors in American healthcare. Hospitals chosen as Top Hospitals demonstrate proven excellence in areas such as medication safety, infection prevention, maternity care, and safer surgical practices, reflecting rigorous standards and a sustained commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
