Englewood Hospital Ranked Among Top 3 Hospitals in New Jersey by Newsweek

Hospital recognized among America’s Best-in-State Hospitals for 2027, reflecting excellence in quality, patient safety, and patient experience.

October 29, 2026 — Englewood Hospital has been ranked among the top three hospitals in New Jersey in Newsweek’s America’s Best-in-State Hospitals 2027 list, recognizing the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

The annual ranking, developed by Newsweek in partnership with global data research firm Statista, recognizes 800 leading hospitals across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Hospitals are evaluated using a comprehensive methodology that considers clinical quality and safety, recommendations from medical professionals, patient experience, and the use of patient-reported outcome measures.

The 2027 rankings place increased emphasis on clinical quality and patient safety, incorporating additional measures from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and, for the first time, data from The Leapfrog Group. The evaluation considers four key areas:

• Hospital quality metrics, including clinical outcomes, patient safety, and accreditations.
• Hospital reputation, based on recommendations from medical professionals nationwide.
• Patient experience, measured through standardized patient surveys.
• Patient-reported outcome measures, assessing how hospitals collect and use patient feedback to improve care.
