About Alice Abraham, MD
Dr. Abraham is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism, and internal medicine. She graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine with Distinction in Research. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital and her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Abraham is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society, the American Thyroid Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research. She is certified as a clinical densitometrist.
Dr. Abraham's research background focused on the application of a new imaging technology in metabolic bone disease. She presented her research at various academic conferences across the country and has authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Additionally, she satisfied the requirements for the Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) program. ECNU is a professional certification in the field of neck ultrasonography for physicians who perform consultations and diagnostic evaluations for thyroid and parathyroid disorders through both diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration. Dr. Abraham evaluates and treats all endocrine disorders and has particular interest in the treatment of thyroid disorders, metabolic bone disease, pituitary disorders, and diabetes.
