About Jay Reidler

Dr. Reidler’s main clinical interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, complex adult and pediatric spine surgery, scoliosis and kyphosis, common neck and back conditions such as disc herniation, spinal stenosis and myelopathy, artificial disc replacement, congenital spinal malformations, spinal tumors, and revision spine surgery. He is also interested in improving safety and outcomes in spine surgery using advanced intraoperative navigation and robotic technologies. Dr. Reidler received his MD from Harvard Medical School and his MPH from Harvard School of Public Health, in Boston. He did an orthopedic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, where he was chief resident of orthopaedic education, followed by an adult and pediatric comprehensive spine surgery fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, in New York. He obtained further specialized training at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, where he completed a dedicated complex pediatric spine surgery fellowship, and at the University of Pennsylvania, where he trained in innovative approaches for treating complex neck and back conditions.  Dr. Reidler is an active member of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, the North American Spine Society, and AOSpine, and a candidate fellow of the Scoliosis Research Society. In addition to English, Dr. Reidler speaks Hebrew and Spanish.
