About Joseph Carnevale, MD
Joseph Carnevale, MD, is a neurosurgeon and director of endovascular stroke at Englewood Hospital. His primary clinical interests include minimally invasive, catheter-based treatment of complex cerebrovascular conditions. He completed his MD at Warren Alpert School of Medicine, followed by a seven-year neurological surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He subsequently completed an endovascular neurosurgery fellowship at New York Presbyterian. Dr. Carnevale’s award-winning research focuses on identifying the most optimal minimally invasive alternative approach to neurosurgeries that typically rely on more invasive surgical methods. His unique background grounded in both open neurological and minimally invasive techniques, enables him to offer patients the most tailored and thoughtful treatment plans based on their specific conditions, desired lifestyles, and care needs. Dr. Carnevale is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Association for Neurological Surgeons.
