About Saurabh Kapoor, MD

Saurabh Kapoor, MD, is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist with expertise in complex cardiomyopathies. His clinical interests include heart transplantation and conditions such as amyloidosis and sarcoidosis. He also cares for patients who need mechanical heart support, including LVADs and ECMO, and has specialized expertise in cardiopulmonary exercise testing for unexplained shortness of breath, as well as cardio-oncology and pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Kapoor earned his MD from Indira Gandhi Medical College, followed by an internal medicine residency at Interfaith Medical Center. He completed a pulmonary hypertension and advanced heart failure fellowship at Hackensack University Medical Center, and cardiology and cardiac transplant/advanced heart failure fellowships at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, advanced heart failure, and transplant cardiology. Dr. Kapoor’s research centers on infiltrative cardiomyopathies and he has contributed to major clinical trials of emerging therapies. He currently serves as an assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. Dr. Kapoor joined the Englewood Health Physician Network in 2025.
