Sonia Bellara, MD

Dr. Bellara is a vascular neurologist specializing in the diagnosis and management of stroke and cerebrovascular disease. Her clinical interests include acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke prevention, and advanced neuroimaging. Dr. Bellara is Associate Stroke Director at Englewood Hospital. She  earned her MD from K. J Somaiya Medical College in Mumbai, India. Dr. Bellara completed her adult neurology residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, followed by a fellowship in vascular neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She joined the Englewood Health Physician Network in 2026.
