About Steven S. Wang, MD
Dr. Steven Wang grew up in Northern New Jersey and is exclusively trained within the state, attending the Honors College of Rutgers University followed by the New Jersey Medical School where he earned his dual Master of Public Health and Doctor of Medicine medical degrees. He went on to complete internal medicine residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton as well as geriatric medicine fellowship at Hackensack University Medical Center.
He is a skilled nursing facility specialist whofocuses on seamless continuity of care for patients going from hospital or physician's office to rehabilitation facilities then back home.
Dr. Wang has authored multiple research studies throughout his medical training in the areas of environmental factors on population health, hand hygiene, and methods to reduce hospital acquired infections.
He primarily sees patients for general adult internal medicine, but has particular interest in geriatric medicine, as well as the screening, management, and surveillance of chronic medical conditions.-->
My pursuit of a career in medicine is a natural progression of who I am as a person. The goal of providing the most appropriate, compassionate, comprehensive, and professional medical care effectively and efficiently to my community embodies the essence of the type of physician that I strive to become. Having grown up and receiving all my formal education and training in New Jersey I feel a deep connection and gratitude to our community. I am grateful of the time and resources my community invested in me and am now in a position to repay that debt in servicing the healthcare needs of my community.
