Celebrating Excellence in Nursing

May 22, 2014 – Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (EHMC) hosted a special awards ceremony during National Nurses Week to recognize its nurses for their commitment to patients and service excellence in a variety of areas.

“Our nursing vision is to provide family-centered care in an innovative, therapeutic, and safe environment, where our actions are directed to the ultimate good of the patient,” said Maddy Pearson, MA, RN, CNE-A , Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at EHMC. “Our nurses continue to build on EHMC’s legacy as a regional leader in high-quality, compassionate care. They thrive in this environment, going above and beyond to ensure every single patient’s experience exceeds the high standards set by our healthcare team.”

EHMC is among the six percent of hospitals nationwide honored with the prestigious Magnet Recognition Program®, a distinction for quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice. The recognition has been earned by the Medical Center three consecutive times.
