Englewood Hospital Goes Blue and Green in Support of Donate Life Month

April 24, 2014 – Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (EHMC) employees joined the national movement to help raise awareness and promote the life-saving benefits of organ and tissue donation, by showing off their blue and green threads on “Wear Blue and Green Day.”

April is National Donate Life Month, a time to honor the generosity of organ and tissue donors and their families, and commemorate all transplant recipients. Healthcare institutions, businesses, organizations and communities across the country participated.

To mark the event, EHMC partnered with NJ Sharing Network to provide resources, pins and stickers to promote the importance of organ and tissue donation to patients, visitors and employees.

EHMC has assisted NJ Sharing Network with the recovery of organs and tissue for the nearly 5,000 New Jersey patients that desperately need a transplant.
