Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Hybrid Course
This program was developed to promote excellence in trauma patient management by all providers involved in the delivery of prehospital care.

NAEMT’s Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) is recognized around the world as the leading continuing education program for prehospital emergency trauma care. The mission of PHTLS is to promote excellence in trauma patient management by all providers involved in the delivery of prehospital care through global education. PHTLS is developed by NAEMT in cooperation with the American College of SurgeonsCommittee on Trauma. The Committee provides the medical direction and content oversight for the PHTLS program.

The 16-hour PHTLS Hybrid course is comprised of the 8-hour online modules for the PHTLS Hybrid Course, followed by 8 hours in the classroom.

Please note: Eventbrite registration is for the in-person portion only and does not cover the cost of the online portion or book, both of which must be purchased separately. You must register for and complete the online portion of the course on the NAEMT website prior to attending the in-person portion. You will need to bring a printed copy of your completion certificate to class in order to participate.

Prerequisites

The required materials for the Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Hybrid Course include:

  1. The Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Ninth Edition textbook and course manual.
  2. The online modules for the PHTLS Hybrid Course.

The items may be purchased separately or bundled together for a discounted price and may only be purchased by Course Coordinators or students enrolled in an approved PHTLS Hybrid course registered with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT).

In-person registration closes on the Friday before each course date.
