Electives

Elective rotations are available in all Internal Medicine subspecialty areas. All PGY1 residents complete a Pain and Palliative care selective. We do also offer electives in non-medical subspecialties such as Neurology, Pathology, Radiology, Anesthesia/Airway and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. It is important for our trainees to have opportunities to explore their clinical interests and develop professional relationships. With this in mind, our Preliminary PGY1, PGY2 and PGY3 residents are able to participate in up to 2 off-site (“away”) electives with approval from the Program Director. For residents interested in pursuing academic careers, we also allow participation in research electives.
